Waiting on the Lord

Categories: All,Audio Message

My life has been a series of events where I have spent time, a lot of time in God’s great waiting room.  This message I shared on that subject on May, 22, 2014 at Refresh Women’s Bible Study.  I pray it encourages and blesses your heart as you may find yourself waiting on the Lord.

May I always Live For More,

Author: Cassi Wortham

I am a follower and lover of Jesus Christ, he saved me at the age of 10 but it wasn't until I was 22 that He completely captured my heart! I married my high school sweetheart, Todd Wortham in 1993 and enjoyed 18 years of an amazing marriage, love, two precious children and incredible ministry together!! God called Todd home on August 13, 2011 and this blog is part of my journey to get to the other side of grief. I pray you will find hope, love, joy and encouragement first and foremost in the arms of Jesus and that God will use this blog to help you truly LIVE FOR MORE!!

I pray for you and your kiddos, Cassi. I remember when I first heard about Todd’s passing. Since I knew him in high school too, it came as a tremendous shock. I was heartbroken for you and your children. But I also knew that God had different plans for Todd and he is “home”. God bless you for the work you are doing. You inspire me to be a better person and to follow God more closely and to appreciate life, even more than I did before Todd passed away. I will continue to keep you in my prayers and I will continue to read and watch you grow in your walk with Christ and I know that many will be blessed by your loving spirit and grace. Myself included. Love you girl.

Thank you so much Leigh Ann for your kind words and especially for your prayers! They mean more than you know! God has been so good and faithful and is taking such great care of me and my kids. I LOVE that God is using my life and story to inspire you to be a better person and follow God more closely. To God be the Glory for that! That makes my heart smile. He is truly the only one who will never fail you. His love has been a great comfort an constant in my life and without it I would not have made it!

Blessings to you and yours as you continue to seek Him,

Thanks Cassi, great message. I was praying for someone the other day who deeply wants to meet the right person and fall in love. She had written me an email about all her growth and how she had lost the ‘victim mentality’ and was striving to take 100% responsibility for her live, be of service, etc. She sincerely was just tired of being single for 35 years, watching friends, siblings, etc all moving on and having babies. I was driving in my car and she was on my heart and as I came to a stop sign and thought ‘what does she need to hear?’ , a song came on the radio. I kid you not, I haven’t heard this song in years, but it was “The waiting is the hardest part” (Tom Petty?) . I laughed and said, Ok, God, I’ll tell her.
